I was still in Massage School and went home for the holidays, stayed with my sister who runs an Inn, and she told me there was someone at the bar who had fallen off a horse and was unable to sit down, asking if I could do anything?

I knew some techniques and was willing to try, the person certainly needed help. Conditions were not ideal; I didn’t have a massage table, so the client, a woman, with effort, lay on her front on a bed. Clothes on of course, I did what I could, knew it was limited and the client thanked me and left. I stayed upstairs and watched TV in the family room.

A half-hour later my sister came to let me know the lady was sitting down! We talked the next day and I encouraged her to follow up with a local massage therapist, which she did, and she continued to make progress.
